How do you navigate the complex and contradicting feelings regarding the current state of the Earth? Do you feel like you can make significant change? Do you succumb to nihilistic ideas? In the third iteration of Psychoterratic States, we explore these Earth-related states of being and feeling through new definitions. We don’t have rigid answers to labyrinthine questions, but we have explorations of how our inner world interacts with this outer world. Let us take you by the hand and guide you through these articulations of feelings that before were undefined. Come cry, explore, feel, listen. Dig in, dig out. Weather through this whirlwind of shared sentiments with us, as we all stand bewildered in the face of Nature, and the ways we destroy it.
When climate change comes up in conversation, our generation can feel a million different feelings, such as longing (Topopinia) or feelings of grief and guilt (Pyrofage). We aim to explore these different feelings through immersive multi-media works about longing and nostalgia, the spaces of people making violent choices in the name of nature, the sounds of recycled materials and trash alike. Our goal is to reimagine the way people relate to nature and to bring new ways of interacting with these sometimes unfamiliar people.
