Symbiomimicry
The work is about the absurdness of the way humans create living spaces for natural processes and insects. Often these living spaces are designed extremely human-like just for our species to feel more comfortable with it. The work takes the concept of design and human-like nature living space to the next level of absurdness. The inspiration comes mostly from insect hotels, therefore I built an actual hotel environment for ants. Explore the website where you can book a reservation. Or visit the multiple hotel buildings, a luxurious pool and a spacious parking lot. I connected the buildings with root-like extensions that bear some resemblance of an actual ant living environment while juxtaposing it with hotel rooms and hallways. The hotel is 3D built and exists solely digitally, because what ant would grab their phone and look for some nice hotels to book?
