NAVIGATING THROUGH LIFE WITH ROMANTICISATION AND PATTERNS

I was aiming to explore EUTIERRA
(being one with nature) through the lens of romanticisation.
To me, romanticisation, just like nature, is the fundament of human life. There is no value in romanticisation without nature, and vice versa.
For this project, my goal was to create a setting that would transport the viewer to my outlook on what it means to be one with nature nowadays. Seeing nature for what it is.
Seeing death as something beautiful, while still acknowledging the tragedy.
Feeling anxious as the world burns, while nervously turning the silver ring on your finger.
Staying vulnerable, while having some tea from a dainty porcelain teacup with hand-painted flowers, while sitting at your village house, surrounded by the wallpaper with floral patterns.
Seeing value in birds—alive and dead.
Stones—whether it’s gravel or a fossil.

We are a part of this world, a beautiful EUTIERRA,
The one that arrived to this world peacefully, and hopefully will leave the same way.
Lived inspired by nature,
And will die being dependent on it.
Our life could be looked at as ignorant,
But in reality, our lives are nothing but the case of
Beautiful EUTIERRA.
