Dreamscape ‘Topopinea’

‘DREAMSCAPE’
The installation “Dreamscape” is a multi-sensorial exploration into the concept of the word ‘topopinea’ by Glenn Albrecht . In the center of this piece stands a minimalist yet evocative portal, a gateway that invites viewers into an immersive experience. Constructed with sheer fabric, the portal creates an ethereal presence, amplified by the delicate play of light and sound projected onto its surface.
The work captures the essence through the transient and fluid projections resembling dreams and nature. These dynamic patterns symbolise the ever-changing experiences and memories associated with the longing to enter a place you imagine visiting.
I wanted to experiment with the relationship between the physical and digital realm. By developing physical models and transform them into digital visuals for projection mapping. The light patterns shift and flow, mimicking the natural movements of clouds, which serves as a metaphor for the fluidity of human emotions and their connection to specific locations. The installation’s ambient lighting and subdued color palette evoke a sense of introspection, encouraging viewers to reflect on their own experiences of place and memory.
