My project is a video work exploring endemophilia as an embodied connection between a person and a place. Instead of focusing on nostalgia, it looks at how this feeling exists in the present through small, everyday gestures, for example the way hands move, the rhythm of walking, or brief pauses in action. The video combines voice-over and simple scenes from daily life, such as touching objects, sitting in light, and moving through spaces. The alternation between English and Italian reflects a shifting sense of belonging. Endemophilia is then described not as memory, but as a continuous presence carried in the body, in gestures, and in the way we relate to space.
